GREEN FIELDS: NEW PRODUCT GENERATION
One of the most exciting aspects of my job at Nautilus has been the exploration of new product opportunities as part of the Green Fields Product Generation Team. This team consisted of stakeholders within the company and Product Development Group. My role was to do research into previously unexplored product categories, then highlight opportunities by visualizing those opportunities in the form of product concepts. Finally, I would present those concepts back to the rest of the team and they would decide which ideas to further develop. Green Fields exposed me to a lot of different experiences. I was able to research everything from the role of fitness in aging populations to understanding fitness training trends such as Orange Theory or Barre3. As someone who gets really excited about technology I was also able to create a product library bringing in new fitness products as well as attending CES each year to see trends in the tech world.
